Pepsinogen Levels Compared with Photofluorography
Chronic atrophic gastritis, which is thought to be a high risk for gastric cancer, can be diagnosed by serum pepsinogen levels. We compared the usefulness of the measurement of pepsinogen levels and indirect photofluorography as indicators of gastric cancer in a mass screening involving 5,620 Japanese subjects (mean age: 60.1 years old; male : female = 2,268 : 3,352) in 1991 and 1992. Subjects ...
متن کاملA novel panoramic machine for photofluorography.
OBJECTIVE To describe the main features of a prototype panoramic X-ray machine modified for photofluorography. METHODS The prototype PTM 2001 (Asahi Roentgen, Kyoto, Japan) consists of a conventional panoramic machine with a modified X-ray generator and incorporating a 9-inch image intensifier and a photofluorographic camera. RESULTS The photofluorographic panoramic radiograph is reduced in...
متن کاملPreliminary study of automatic gastric cancer risk classification from photofluorography
AIM To perform automatic gastric cancer risk classification using photofluorography for realizing effective mass screening as a preliminary study. METHODS We used data for 2100 subjects including X-ray images, pepsinogen I and II levels, PGI/PGII ratio, Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) antibody, H. pylori eradication history and interview sheets. We performed two-stage classification with our sy...
متن کاملDecreasing Diagrams
This theory contains a formalization of decreasing diagrams showing that any locally decreasing abstract rewrite system is confluent. We consider the valley (van Oostrom, TCS 1994) and the conversion version (van Oostrom, RTA 2008) and closely follow the original proofs. As an application we prove Newman’s lemma. A description of this formalization is available in [3].
متن کاملRadiation Exposure to the Pediatric Patient During Cardiac Catheterization and Angiocardiography Emphasis on the Thyroid Gland ERIC
Thermoluminescent dosimetry was used to measure the radiation exposure to the skin, thyroid and gonads in 50 consecutive pediatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and angiocardiography using cine photofluorography. Average exposures were 17.1 R to the skin, 2.3 R to the thyroid and 0.1 R to the gonads. Fluoroscopy accounted for approximately 80% of the skin and thyroid exposure and ...
